CONGO COLLECTION

Our Congo collection was inspired by traditional raffia Kuba textiles from the Congo, African symbolism and fono types.

We commissioned Algerian artists Walid Bouchouchi and Studio Granada Hills on 3 designs and they were all hand-woven in South Africa using locally sourced mohair and sheep wool fibres.

IMITHA COLLECTION

This unique collection is meticulously handcrafted by female artisans in the Western Cape using 100% South African-grown mohair. Empowered by their handicraft, these local women hand spin and dye the raw fibre using trusted techniques to ensure exceptional quality and durability.

The bold, geometric patterns on these blankets and rugs are inspired by traditional nguni basketry, pottery, murals and beading to express the untold stories of South African heritage in vivid, visceral form.

SANKARA COLLECTION

Named after the revolutionary and Pan-Africanist leader Thomas Sankara, the Sankara collection is a celebration of  IsiNdebele art  and culture.

The collection was designed in collaboration with Genis Carreras and it was informed by Nkuli’s IsiNdebele heritage. The rugs are named after African revolutionaries such as Nomzamo Madikizela Mandela, Mangaliso Sobukwe, Thomas Sankara and Kwame Nkrumah
